Welcome To Nefertari Admission Guide

Thank you for your interest in joining Nefertari International School, Cairo branch. Admissions for the year 2024-2025 are now open from Pre-IB (MYP 5) to DP1. 

We invite you to join both Egyptian and international families who aspire to a premier international education for their children. 

Nefertari International School accepts applications for students from Pre-IB (MYP5) to DP1. All applications are checked on individual basis.

The admission office works from Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Students are selected through a competitive admission process as we look for highly motivated students with diverse backgrounds, talents, and skills.

Admission Office accepts new applications and students transferring from abroad throughout the year according to availability. We start the reviewing process for each new school year by mid-November.

Follow These Simple Steps to Start Your Application Process

  • Please click on the link ADMISSION PLATFORM, create an account then fill out all fields.
  • NIS admission office will contact you once the application is received to set an appointment for the assessment tests and the interview for both parents and the child/children.
  • Pre-IB (MYP5) students will be assessed in English and Math.
  • DP1 students must pass an admission test in Language A (English or German), Language B (English or German or French), Math, and chosen sciences according to university requirements with at least 60%.
  • Download Course Outline for Pre-IB (MYP5) and DP1:
  • Pre-IB Chemistry , Pre-IB 10 Math , Physics-IB Admission Exam-G10 , Physics-IB Admission Exam-G11 (DP).
  • Settle the assessment fees to confirm your booking.
  • Please ensure you and your child attend the assessment and family interview on the scheduled date.
  • NIS understands that some children may not perform to their full potential due to being nervous. Therefore, at the school’s discretion, a child may be invited to retake the assessment.
  • Acceptance into all Nefertari International Schools is contingent upon passing the admission assessment.
  • Parents will be notified within 72 hours of testing via a phone call from the Office of Admissions regarding whether the student has met the admission standards or not.
  • If the applicant is eligible, submit the required documents. Check the “Required Documents” section below
  • A meeting is scheduled for the parents of the accepted student and the student himself/herself with the school Principal and Headmistress to explain the School Guiding Statements, and terms of School-Parent Code of Conduct. (Pre-IB (MYP5) and DP1)
  • The interview for the DP1 applicant will assess his/her suitability for the course and discuss the available subject options.
  • A one-time admission fee is due within 7 days to reserve a place for the student for the school year applied for (Pre-IB (MYP5) and DP1)

Required Documents

  • Original birth certificate – computer-generated (Egyptian students).
  • Copy of student’s passport or birth certificate and residence visa valid for no less than six months – this should not be a tourist visa (non-Egyptian students).
  • Six recent passport-size photos of students.
  • Copy of mother and father’s ID (National Number) and passport copies of non-Egyptian parents.
  • Original academic report from the previous school for the last academic year (PYP1-PYP5 and Pre-IB (MYP5) students).
  • Original academic report from the previous school for the last academic year
  • Original academic report from the previous school for the last 2 academic years (DP1 students)
  • Letter of good conduct from the previous school for students in PYP 1 and above

In case the student is transferring from a school within Egypt, you are required to present all the above-mentioned documents in addition to the following:

  • Attendance statement (تسلسل دراسى) stamped from the previous school and from the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) starting from Grade 1.
  • Legal success report (بيان نجاح) for last academic year stamped by the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) in case of transfer from an International school.
  • Legal success report (بيان نجاح) including the English high level and the second language for the last academic year stamped by the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) in case of transfer from a national school.
  • Transfer request (طلب تحويل) stamped from both the school the student is transferring from and the Educational District. (الإدارة التعليمية)
  • In case the student’s transferring school and the school he/she is transferring to are in different governorates (محافظتين مختلفتين) , the transfer request (طلب تحويل) should be stamped from the school and from both Educational Districts (الإدارتين التعليميتين) and Educational Directorates ((المديريتين التعليميتين
  • Electronic transfer (تحويل الكترونى) request from the previous school.

In case the student is transferring from a school outside Egypt, you are required to present all the documents in Part 1 in addition to the following:

  • Attendance statement (تسلسل دراسى) from the previous school stamped by the Ministry of Education of the country the student is transferring from, as well as by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • The last school report stamped by the Ministry of Education in the country the student is transferring from, as well as by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Issuing a letter of admission from the Educational District for both Egyptian and non-Egyptian students transferring from abroad. الحاق مصرى عائد / الحاق وافد

 

To enable students to be fully enrolled at Nefertari International school, all the documents required by the school and the Ministry of Education in Egypt must be submitted to our Student Affairs office before the beginning of the academic year. Please be advised that it is the sole responsibility of the parent to comply with submitting these documents. NIS accepts no responsibility for the consequences or failure to do so.
