IBDP

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) curriculum sets out the requirements for the study of High School International Diploma. In preparation for the Diploma Program, NIS offers a one year Pre-IB (grade 10) to set the students on the IB track. The curriculum is made up of the DP three core required components; Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the extended Essay (EE) and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS).  Students choose from their six groups: group 1: Studies in Language & Literature, group 2:  Language Acquisition, group 3: Individuals & Societies, group 4: Sciences, group 5: Mathematics and group 6: The Arts.

Students have the choice to study an additional science, individual & societies, or language course, instead of a course in the arts, which is the only optional subject group.

At least three and not more than four subjects are taken at higher level (240 teaching hours), while the other subjects are taken at standard level (150 teaching hours). In Nefertari, we align with all the IB requirements and follow the IB philosophy in our learning and teaching, which is indicated in the school’s mission and vision.
